 Equity & Belonging

My Commitment to Equity & Belonging

My commitment is to always learn, listen, and be open to feedback. As an ally and accomplice, my work will never be complete. I commit to investing in my own growth and to evolve in service of diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging work. I will not shy away from tough conversations.

BLACK LIVES MATTER

I show my support by donating to black owned businesses and organizations in Atlanta. If you run a Black owned company please reach out to learn more about the cost-free services we offer. I’m committed to exploring how I can better advocate change and further support BIPOC communities to build a better and more equitable and just world for all.

NATIVE AMERICAN AND INDIGENOUS ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I reside and work on the ancestral lands of the Muscogee, also known as the Mvskoke, peoples whose ancestors have resided here since time immemorial. I acknowledge this to address invisibility, to honor, to raise our collective consciousness, and to hold myself accountable towards action.

MY APPROACH

Through my studies and research as an Organizational Psychologist, I have learnt about conscious and unconscious bias, micro-inequities, microaggressions, stereotypes, group dynamics, inclusive language, privilege, effective ally-ship, self-advocacy and more.

I lean into a human-centered approach to build inclusive, meaningful workplaces and experiences. This includes working with organizations on inclusive language in their job descriptions to pushing back on the commonly used recruiting metrics like “time-to-fill” to building fair and equitable performance development systems.
